Chefmaster Natural Black Liqua-Gel® color is a plant-based concentrated liquid food coloring (grape juice and spirulina powder based) that can be used to tint icings, fondant, gum paste, and cake frosting with a wide range of gray and black hues with a slight green undertone. It can also be used in a variety of other low-heat or no-heat applications and was specifically formulated to not alter the taste, texture, or consistency of your finished products.
Adding black cacao powder to your icing will help you reach a deep black color without needing to add too much natural food coloring.
